Step 1: DEMO introduces the WATASOL technology and approach

Step 2: TRY OUT gives hands-on familiarity

  • This document, due in April 2011, helps you to define the needs and identify the project requirements and limitation before implementing a WATASOL project. Test the WATA, fill this form and determine the WATASOL chance of success in the field.

  • Conversion Table
  • This table helps you to define the chlorine solution needed depending on the volume to be treated, the target concentration and to the concentration of the chlorine mother solution.

Step 3: TESTING confirms the viability of local production of chlorine.

  • This document set questions that should beaddressed during the testing phase notably on the location, training, definition of product, dissemination strategies and tools, implementation and monitoring system.

  • This document is being developed with the support of the Swiss Humanitarian Aid Unit. Available in May 2011.

  • Monitoring methodology (in progress)
  • In progress. This two-page document will list and explain the different methods of collecting data to monitor ongoing WATASOL project and impact in the communities.

  • Monitoring Free Residual Chlorine
  • The monitoring of the actual regular use of chlorine in households can be done with the WataBlue that check the free residual chlorine.

Step 4: PILOT phase gives options for dissemination and business models.

  • Market research requires a refined understanding of the customer. This questionnaire helps you to better understand your customers and better answer their needs.

  • This document will be a support document for the reporting process (cross-checking). It will help you to identify the highlights of the project as well as the weaknesses in order to address them on time. You will need to adapt this document according to the specification of your project and context.

Step 5: SCALE - Replicating sucess on a wide scale.

The document for this step is waiting to be written, the story is waiting to be told… In other words, the replication process has not yet been achieved but it remains very much a top priority. Maybe we can move forward together with you and your organisation?
