Production and distribution units of spirulina supported by Antenna
Antenna Technologies has developed the necessary tools and training content for the local production, on a lasting and low-cost basis, of an exceptional food supplement: spirulina.
For the last 20-odd years, Antenna has provided technical and financial support to the spirulina production and distribution programmes undertaken by its local teams and partners. The aim is for each site to become financially viable.
With spirulina, even the poorest families can treat, and indeed prevent, dietary deficiencies to which children, in particular, are vulnerable. Having now reached a level of standardised and monitored cultivation, the crop has the potential to play a considerable role in development. Selling spirulina provides a new means to poor families of generating income,
