After the initial investment, the cost price for one litre of active chlorine concentrate is below 0.01€. And this one litre of concentrate is enough to disinfect 4,000 litres of contaminated water. Our non-profit and fair policy ensures the lowest possible prices for all WATA users. Any surplus income generated by the sale of our products is reinvested in our research and development programmes.
WATA devices are very easy to use. Just a short, hands-on training is needed to operate them properly. As well as the device itself, the user needs water, about 25 grams of salt per litre of water (one table spoon), any source of electric current (electric grid, generator, battery, solar panel...) and clean receptacles and containers.
When used correctly, WATA devices produce a regular concentration of active chlorine in the output solution of 6 g/l. The quality control suggested by Antenna Technologies allows anybody to check the water quality systematically and at very low cost.
WATA
devices are not sensitive to outside elements. They are robust, and
designed to suit field conditions optimally in developing countries.
Properly used, well-maintained and carefully stored after each use, WATA devices are guaranteed to operate for at least 20,000 hours.
There are many water treatement methods. Have a look on our comparisons table between WATA devices and others water treatment methods.
